Blind Girl Designs is a fashion and apparel brand built around the message, “Losing sight doesn’t mean losing vision.” The company was founded by Tricia after vision loss from retinitis pigmentosa changed the way she experienced her longtime career in fashion. Rather than walking away from her passion, she created Blind Girl Designs. Its apparel includes blind-cane-inspired designs, graphic tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, tote bags and other merchandise, with many garments featuring hand-printed tactile ink. The brand also offers accessible shopping assistance by phone.
The New Jersey Council of the Blind is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind. United for Progress since 1943, NJCB works for the betterment of people who are blind or visually impaired and promotes greater independence through education, networking, mentoring, advocacy, scholarships, leadership development, community outreach, and access to resources.
